A letter from AutoTeam Delaware President & CEO
To Our Valued Saab Clients:
Delaware Saab is privately owned and independent from Saab Cars North America, SCNA, the distributor of Saabs to dealers in the US, and SCNA's parent company, Saab Automobile AB of Sweden. In late 2011 Saab Automobile AB of Sweden filed for bankruptcy, and in early 2012, creditors forced SCNA into court.
Regardless of the future of Saab in the US, Delaware Saab remains here to sell and service Saabs for a very long time. We are a very healthy company and are able to provide service and parts to our Saab clients and stand behind our work.
SCNA has suspended warranty coverage on vehicles that were sold after the acquisition of the brand from General Motors in 2010. GM is, however, picking up warranty claims on vehicles purchased while GM owned Saab, basically 2009 models and earlier. For those vehicles still remaining in our inventory, and for the cars sold since 2010, we've found independent solutions for the purchase of warranty coverage. If you'd like to discuss availability of these warranties, please contact our Finance Department.
We also have several new Saab vehicles in stock at VERY attractive prices. Please visit our Inventory Pages! We'll keep you informed as we get more information from SCNA. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience and we'll all get through these problems together. Our Sales & Service Managers and I are personally available to discuss any questions or concerns.
